The RUNOW 6203B Rowing Machine is an authentic natural solid oak wood with excellent durability and stability and a maximum user weight limit of 348 lbs (158 kg). It can absorb sound and vibration to achieve quiet and smooth exercise. The sound of the water sloshing inside the tank is also incredibly relaxing, and it’s much quieter than the whirring of fans in an air rower.
The large-capacity water tank can hold 17 liters of water. All the resistance comes from water, so the faster you pull, the more resistance you will get. When the rowing machine is not in use, it can stand vertically for storage to save space, and if you’re wondering, it will not leak water.
The RUNOW 6203B rowing machine has a fitness monitor that tracks time, distance, calories burned, stroke count, and total strokes. Unfortunately, it does not have a pulse reading function. So to track pulse, you must use a separate device. You’ll want to consider a more advanced monitor if you’re trying to challenge yourself to row faster and push harder with each workout.
The 6203B comes with a 3D ergonomic soft seat, which is more comfortable and impact-resistant. Therefore, you will not feel tired even if you sit for an extended time. In addition, the adjustable, non-slip, sturdy, and durable oversized footrests are suitable for different feet sizes. The foam-pulling handle is soft, sweat-proof, and has a non-slip design, which makes it more comfortable.

6203B Frame Construction
The RUNOW 6203B rowing machine features an oak wood frame with steel hardware. All the wooden parts have a lacquered finish with an orange color, while most steel parts come with a black paint finish.
The machine also integrates several plastic parts. For example, the tank is polycarbonate, while the rail covers and footrests are durable thermoplastic materials.
The fully assembled rower is pretty extensive, especially lengthwise. It is approximately 82″ (208 cm) long and 22″ (56 cm) wide, while its highest point (the front section of the frame) reaches approx—21″ (53 cm) above the floor.
It is also advisable to leave at least 24″ (60 cm) of clearance on each side and at the rear of the machine for easy access and safe usage.
This RUNOW rower does not have a folding design. However, it can store vertically. In the vertical position, its footprint is 22″L x 21″W (56 x 53 cm), while its height reaches 82″ (208 cm). Furthermore, the water can remain inside the tank when the rower stands vertically.
The rower is not super heavy, weighing 83.5 lbs (37.8 kg) without water in the tank, and can reach up to 120 lbs (54 kg) with a tank full of water.
However, it is easy to handle and transport once assembled, as its front base integrates a set of small wheels. Also, its rails have several rubber stabilizers, so you don’t have to put the rower on a mat during usage.
Seat and other parts
The RUNOW 6203B rowing machine comes equipped with a pretty comfortable seat. Its top section integrates a foam padding layer to reduce the impact on your tailbone. In addition, it also has contouring for better positioning. It is approximately 14″ (35.5 cm) wide, provides plenty of contact surface, and stands at approx—12″ (30 cm) above the floor.
The base of the seat combines wood and steel elements. The side panels are the same oak wood as the rest of the machine, while the axles of the wheels, screws, and other parts are metallic.
The seat comes equipped with eight wheels. Four of them slide on top of the rails, the other four on the inner side of the rails. Furthermore, they have internal ball bearings and a thick rubber layer outside for smooth and quiet movement.
The rower’s rails are pretty long, and the applicable inseam length for this machine is approximately 40″ (101 cm). Thus, it comfortably accommodates users up to 6’5″ (196 cm) with no problem allowing a complete leg extension. In addition, the rail-seat assembly is also pretty durable. The machine has a maximum user weight limit of 348 lbs (158 kg).
The pulling handle is a simple, straight bar. It has rubber foam sleeves for an improved grip. It’s attached to the machine’s resistance system via a heavy-duty, braided nylon strap, highly resistant to stretching and abrasion. Unfortunately, it does not have any controls or HR pulse sensors.
This RUNOW rower comes equipped with a set of oversized footrests. They’re a durable plastic material. In addition, they are adjustable to accommodate pretty much all athletic shoe sizes.
They have adjustable straps and heel guards to secure your feet on them perfectly. However, they do not have a pivoting design. Instead, the board they attach to has an angle of approximately 50°.
6203B Resistance system
The RUNOW 6203B rower comes equipped with a water resistance system. Its water tank is made of durable polycarbonate material and has a capacity of 4.5 gallons (17 liters). However, it should not be filled past the full line. The walls of the tank are transparent with a blue hue.
The water tank has a simple, single-chamber design and no mechanical resistance adjustment elements like other water resistance rowers. Therefore, you must manually add or remove water from the tank to adjust the resistance. A siphon pump comes with the machine for this purpose.
The main resistance element is an impeller with several blades integrated into the water tank. This impeller attaches to the rower’s pulley system and the pulling strap. Thus, the impeller spins in the water inside the tank when you pull the handle, creating resistance.
Like all other rowing machines with a water resistance system, the RUNOW 6203B model generates a dynamic response during usage. Therefore, the resistance varies, depending on how much strength you put behind each stroke.
For example, if you pull the handle faster and with more power, the impeller will spin more quickly and provide more resistance.
As a result, it resembles the sensation of rowing a real boat through the water, which can be a plus, especially for users who want to train on a professional level.
Last, the rower does not generate too much noise when used. However, you can hear it. It produces a “woosh” sound that most users have described as pleasant rather than annoying.
The RUNOW 6203B rowing machine has a pretty simple fitness monitor. It does not have preset workout programs or online connectivity. Instead, it features an LCD that tracks time, distance, calories, stroke count, and total strokes.
Unfortunately, it does not have a pulse reading function, so you must use a separate device to monitor your pulse during rowing.
The fitness monitor is straightforward to use. It has only one button (Mode). By pressing the button repeatedly, you can scroll through the workout metrics and select the one you want to view. It also has a scan mode; when set, the monitor will rotate all the metrics, showing each one for a few seconds.
The button also covers the monitor’s reset function. Press it and hold it for a few seconds to clear all its values to zero. The only value that you won’t remove is the total strokes.
The fitness monitor is battery-powered, requiring two AA batteries. It starts monitoring your workout metrics when you begin rowing. In addition, it turns off automatically after four minutes of inactivity on the machine to save the battery, and it wakes up if you press the button or begin rowing.
6203B Assembly and Maintenance
This rower is pretty easy to assemble. The water tank comes pre-assembled and integrated into the front section of the frame. Therefore, all you need to do for the assembly is attach the rails and the seat.
Consequently, it shouldn’t take more than 20 minutes of your time. All the necessary tools for the assembly come with the rowing machine, and the manual provides clear instructions.
For maintenance, keeping the rower clean, especially the rails, is advisable to prevent any damage to their covers and the seat wheels. In addition, the tank water requires treatment with the included purification powder.
However, it is also advisable to change the water every six months. Other than this, you should only check for loose bolts and parts and retighten them as required.
