B7 Frame Construction
The HARISON B7 upright bike features a durable steel tubing frame with ABS side covers for the drive and resistance elements. In addition, all the steel tubes in its construction come coated with a rust-resistance black paint finish.
The fully assembled bike isn’t giant. It is approx. 35.4″ (90 cm) long and 20.4″ (52 cm) wide; therefore, it can fit pretty well even into a smaller room or apartment. However, leaving at least two feet of clearance all around it is advisable for safe usage.
Despite its tiny footprint, the bike offers excellent stability as it has a low center of gravity. In addition, it is not extremely heavy but weighs approximately 55 lbs (25 kg), which is quite a bit more than the weight of a road bike.
Its rear base bar also comes with adjustable stabilizers, allowing you to level it on any floor perfectly. Finally, the front base of the bike comes with transport wheels. Thus, once assembled, it’s easily moved to its storage place.
Seat and handlebars
The HARISON B7 upright bike has a reasonably large saddle designed for comfort. It is 10.24″ (26 cm) wide and 10.24″ (26 cm) long, offering plenty of contact surface. Its top is high-density foam with a longitudinal groove for extra breathability.
The seat offers four-way adjustability (up, down, front, back). In addition, its vertical post has several adjustment positions, while the horizontal slider provides a few extra inches of front-to-back adjustment.
Thus, the bike can accommodate users between 5’1″ and 6’5″ (155 – 196 cm), allowing a complete leg extension and range of motion. It also has a maximum user weight capacity of 350 lbs (158.8 kg).
The seat is easily adjustable. Its upright bar and horizontal slider come with large knobs that are easy to grip, pull, and turn. Thus, adjusting the seat to your size takes less than a minute.
The bike comes with a 2-grip handlebar. Its side extended a rubber material layer covering the grips to provide a secure grip. They also integrate pulse sensors, so the fitness monitor can track your pulse rate if you hold on to them.
It is essential to mention that the bike’s handlebars are non-adjustable. They attach directly to the bike’s front upright tube via two bolts, adjusting their angle. However, the height of the front mast is not adjustable.
B7 Resistance System
The HARISON B7 upright bike features a manual magnetic resistance system. Therefore, you don’t have to connect it to a power source; its console does not automatically control the resistance.
The resistance system consists of an internal magnetic brake attached to the flywheel system and connected to the tension knob on the front mast through a steel cable.
Turning the knob, the magnets move closer or farther from the flywheel, increasing or decreasing the resistance. The resistance elements do not touch, so there is no friction, which leads to a very smooth pedaling motion.
The bike makes 14 levels of resistance available, while most other models in this price range only offer eight difficulty levels. Thus, this improves the micro-adjustment possibilities. In addition, the first three levels provide a pretty light pedaling difficulty, which makes them great for recovery training.
The 4-6 levels are for advanced aerobic exercise and burning calories, and the 7-10 are great for toning leg muscles and improving strength and stamina. In contrast, the 11-14 levels offer the possibility to undergo high-intensity training.
Drive System
The HARISON B7 upright bike features a mid-range 13 lb (6 kg) flywheel, a perimeter-weighted construction to provide a bit of extra inertia, and a more consistent pedaling motion.
The wheel is bi-directional; you can pedal in reverse if you want. When pedaling reverse, the fitness monitor will monitor your distance, pulse, calories, etc. However, coasting on the bike is not possible. The pedals will continue to spin for as long as the internal flywheel is spinning.
The bike has a sturdy crankset featuring crank arms similar to a road bike. Nonetheless, this is not a spin bike. Therefore, standing up on the pedals is not advisable.
The pedals have a weighted design; therefore, they will always turn face-up if you remove your feet from them, allowing you to replace your feet on them quickly. In addition, they have a non-slip surface and adjustable straps for extra foot stability.
The bike’s drive system uses a heavy-duty poly-v belt. Moreover, the pedaling motion is very smooth and quiet. You don’t have to take the ABS covers apart for lubricating the transmission, as a chain drive would be the case.
B7 Fitness monitor
The HARISON B7 upright bike includes the same fitness monitor and tablet/bottle holder as the B8 recumbent bike. In addition, the fitness monitor features an LCD with extra-large digits, is easy to read, and tracks time, distance, total distance, speed, RPM, calories, and pulse.
Unfortunately, the monitor is not telemetric. Therefore, it can only read your pulse through integrated pulse sensors. In addition, it cannot communicate with Polar or other HR transmitters.
The fitness monitor doesn’t have preset programs or online connectivity but does have goal settings for time, distance, and calories. Its operation is relatively straightforward. It only has three buttons.
The Mode button allows you to select one of the workout metrics to be shown on display all the time or select the Scan Mode, which rotates all the values. The Enter button covers the goal-setting function, and the Reset button allows you to clear all metrics to zero.
The monitor is battery-powered, and it requires two AA batteries, and they come with the bike. It starts when you pedal and has a sleep mode to enter without bike activity for several minutes.
The HARISON B7 includes a tablet or smartphone support that attaches to the monitor’s back. Therefore, placing a tablet or smartphone on the holder will not block any part of the LCD. This accessory also integrates a bottle holder compartment holding any hydration bottle.
And finally, another small shelf is embedded at the monitor’s bottom; this accessory can serve as a phone holder.
B7 Assembly and Maintenance
The main body of the bike comes pre-assembled. You only need to attach the two base bars, the seat post, the seat, the front mast, the handlebars, the fitness monitor, and the pedals.
Consequently, this shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes of your time. An essential tool set comes with the bike, and the manual provides precise assembly instructions.
Once assembled, you don’t have to worry too much about maintenance. The internal parts are pre-lubricated and shouldn’t need any lubrication for an extended time. The belt transmission doesn’t require lubrication. You only have to clean the bike, check for loose bolts and parts, and retighten if necessary.

This looks very promising. I believe the issue isn’t the machine but the effort we place into it. I have a similar machine in my room, and it just there as a decoration 🙁 I would love to be dedicated though; I lack motivation when I come to excising. However, it’s a new year, and I guess I should set goals, right? This machine made me think about the importance of determination.
Thank you for sharing Linda.
