SF-T7632 Frame and deck

The Sunny SF-T7632 folding treadmill is not a heavy-duty treadmill. However, it still features a steel frame with a deck to support 220 lbs (100 kg) users. In addition, all the steel tubes in its construction come with a corrosion-resistant gray paint finish, with the “Sunny” logo painted red.

Of course, the machine also integrates several ABS parts. For example, the motor cover and casing, the side rail covers, and the console casing are durable ABS materials.

The Sunny SF-T7632 features a pretty compact construction as well. With all the parts assembled, it is approx. 49.5″ (126 cm) long and 26.5″ (67 cm) wide. It is advisable, though, to leave at least 24″ (61 cm) of clearance on each side, and at least 36″ (91 cm) of clearance at the rear of the deck, for safe usage.

The machine is also foldable. The deck folds up between the two upright bars. With the deck folded up, the machine’s footprint becomes 16″D x 26.5″W (41 x 67 cm), while its height becomes approx—51″ (129 cm).

This treadmill is not extremely heavy. Its net weight is 75 lbs (34 kg), so only one person can move and assemble it. Plus, its front base bars feature transport wheels, which considerably ease its relocation.

Walking surface and incline

The Sunny SF-T7632 folding treadmill offers a walking surface of 44.5″L x 14″W (113 x 36 cm). It’s not very large, so a taller user may not benefit from a complete range of motion when running. But for walking, the machine should accommodate users up to 6’5″ (196 cm) with no problem.

The multi-layered belt has a top layer designed to provide a non-slip grip. The rollers’ exact diameter is not specified, but since it’s a small machine, they’re probably less than 1.5″. Nonetheless, the rollers integrate sealed ball bearings for a smooth belt motion. Also, they have a crowned design to promote a longer belt lifespan.

The machine’s deck doesn’t have the thick or adjustable cushioning elements of a commercial-grade treadmill but does integrate four pairs of cushions. They are all concealed by the side rail covers. The more oversized cushions are on each side of the foot strike area to absorb more from the impact generated during each step.

The machine’s deck doesn’t have a very high step-up height. At its highest point, the walking surface is at approx. 10″ (20 cm) above floor level, while at the rear, its size is approx—4″ (10 cm). Therefore, you shouldn’t need to worry about ceiling height issues.

SF-T7632 Drive motor

The Sunny SF-T7632 folding treadmill has a light-capacity drive motor with a peak power of 1.25 HP. Still, it is powerful enough to support prolonged workouts, even if the user is close to the maximum weight capacity of 220 lbs (100 kg).

Like most other treadmill motors, the one equipped on the Sunny SF-7632 integrates a small flywheel. This element adds stability and reduces the belt and overall vibration during usage.

The motor offers a speed range between 0.5 MPH and 7.0 MPH. The console speed adjustment controls are bi-functional. A short press will adjust the belt’s speed in increments of 0.1 MPH, while pressing and holding the key will change the speed in increments of 0.5 MPH. Unfortunately, the console does not have quick selection buttons for speed.

The motor itself is not too loud. Also, during a walking workout, you’ll barely hear your cadence.

Nonetheless, depending on your weight, running technique, and other factors, when running at full speed, the noise generated by your cadence will become louder but not loud enough to cover the sound of your TV in a moderate volume setting.

Of course, since this Sunny treadmill doesn’t have a super powerful motor, the power consumption is also minimal. As a general idea, even if you use it daily for more than one hour, your electricity bill should not increase by more than a few dollars.

Console

The Sunny SF-T7632 folding treadmill includes a simple console without workout programs, Bluetooth, or fancy features. Instead, it has an LCD with a blue LED backlight divided into four subsections to simultaneously show all the essential workout metrics.

It indicates time, distance, speed, and calories burned. Unfortunately, it does not have a pulse reading function, nor is it telemetric, so it won’t be able to read your pulse from a Polar or ANT+ HR chest strap.

The console is straightforward to use. It only has five buttons. The Start button sets the belt in motion, while the Stop button lets you pause your workout if needed.

The Mode button provides access to the setup mode. Setup mode allows you to select a workout goal for time, distance, or calories. After choosing a workout goal, the console will show the remaining value for that particular workout metric and countdown until you complete your desired goal.

The Mode button also allows you to select the workout metric you want to view on the top display or set the Scan Mode, which rotates all the top screen metrics, showing each one for a few seconds. Finally, the Up/Down keys allow you to adjust the belt’s speed or select values for your desired workout goals.

The console doesn’t have bottle trays, a tablet holder, or other features like an integrated sound system. However, it does have a lubrication reminder function. It will notify you to lubricate the belt every 188 miles by displaying an “OIL” icon.

SF-T7632 Assembly and Maintenance

Most of the treadmill comes pre-assembled. The deck with the belt, the rollers, the motor, rail covers, and other parts comes pre-assembled. The two upright bars are also already attached to the base frame. So you only have to connect the front base frame extensions with the transport wheels and the console.

Therefore, it shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes of your time. The task is relatively simple, and the manual provides clear step-by-step instructions. An essential toolkit also comes included with the machine.

For maintenance, it is vital to keep the belt/deck lubricated. A bottle of lubricant comes included, and the console will notify you when lubrication is necessary. In addition, it would be best to clean the belt to prevent debris from being caught in the motor or the rollers. Besides this, you only have to periodically check the machine for loose or broken parts and retighten or replace them as needed.
