The ECHANFIT Electric Folding Treadmill features a soft drop hydraulic lowering system that can be folded up and stored away when unused. With the deck folded, it’s easy to move via the transport wheels. The durable and sturdy steel frame has a maximum user weight capacity of 220 lb (100 kg).
The electric motorized running machine comes equipped with a 17″ wide multi-layer non-slip texturized running belt. Moreover, the shock-absorbing system provides effective cushioning for your back, joints, muscles, knees, and ankles. Furthermore, the convenient magnetic safety key will immediately shut down the treadmill to prevent injury when pulled.
The three manual incline levels significantly improve the effect of aerobic training. Thus, you’ll burn more calories, resulting in higher weight loss. Accordingly, the treadmill monitors your heart rate through integrated handgrip sensors, allowing users to adjust exercise in real time.

Frame Construction
The ECHANFIT electric treadmill features a steel frame of rectangular tubing coated with a corrosion-resistant, black paint finish. But, of course, the machine also has several parts made of durable thermoplastic material. For example, the motor cover, the console dashboard, and the rail side covers are plastic-made.
The fully assembled machine is relatively small compared to other treadmills. It is approx 51.2″ (130 cm) long and 27.6″ (70 cm) wide. Thus, it fits in a smaller room, as well. However, leaving at least two feet of clearance on each side and at least three feet at the deck’s rear is still advisable for safe usage.
The treadmill is not too heavy. Its net weight is 87.5 lbs (39.6 kg). Thus, one person can assemble the treadmill. However, the transport of the packaged unit should require two people.
The unit’s deck is foldable. The folding mechanism uses a hydraulic cylinder, which allows the deck to unfold slowly to prevent damage to the floor or the treadmill. With the deck folded up, the machine’s footprint was reduced to approx. 27.2″ x 27.6″ (69 x 70 cm), while its overall height gains a few inches.
With the deck folded, the front base frame integrates a set of wheels that enable its relocation. Also, the front base frame features four rubberized stabilizers.
The machine’s side handgrips curve down slightly for improved ergonomics. They also integrate metallic pulse sensors, and the console has a pulse reading function.
Deck construction and incline
This ECHANFIT folding treadmill comes equipped with a non-slip multi-layer running belt. Its top layer is rubberized to prevent foot slippage. The deck itself is pretty durable. It has a maximum user weight capacity of 220 lbs (110 kg).
Although it’s a small treadmill for light to medium-intensity workouts, its deck has a cushioning system. It consists of four visible cushions (two on each side of the deck) and several smaller cushions covered by the machine’s side rail.
Therefore, running or jogging on this treadmill results in a less workout-related impact on your joints than walking or jogging on concrete or asphalt. Plus, the deck board has a bit of flex itself.
The ECHANFIT folding electric treadmill features a manual incline system. Unfortunately, you cannot adjust the deck’s incline when walking or running on the treadmill.
The incline system comprises two folding foot stabilizers at the deck’s rear corners. Each foot has three adjustment positions so you can lock it in the desired position via a removable metallic rod.
The incline provided by these foot stabilizers is not extreme. When folded to the lowest place, they give a pitch of approx—2 °-3° for the deck.
The machine’s deck has a step-up height of approx—7″ (18 cm). Of course, with the incline set to maximum, the deck’s rear will be lower by approx 2″ (5 cm). Therefore, using the machine in a room with a ceiling at least 10″ (25 cm) higher than the tallest user’s height is advisable.
Drive motor
This ECHANFIT treadmill is motorized; it integrates a 2.5 HP peak power motor. Although it is not as powerful as commercial-grade machines’ motors, it still provides excellent performance for walking and jogging. It also integrates a small flywheel for motion stability.
The machine’s motor offers a speed range between 0.5 MPH and 8.5 MPH. The speed adjustment increments are 0.1 MPH. Therefore, you can quickly adapt your pace to speed adjustments.
There are speed controls for gradual adjustment and quick adjustment on the console. When pressed, the +/- keys adjust the speed in increments of 0.1 MPH. The fast speed adjustment controls allow you to select 1 MPH, 3 MPH, 5 MPH, and 7 MPH.
The machine’s motor doesn’t generate too much noise, and your cadence barely makes a sound during a walking workout. Plus, the two shock absorption elements on each side of the unit reduce vibration.
Last but not least, the motor is not precisely potent. Therefore, you won’t have to worry about high electricity bills even if you use this treadmill daily.
Console
The ECHANFIT 2.5 HP treadmill comes equipped with a reasonably decent console. It has an LCD divided into several sub-sections to show as many workout metrics as possible. It tracks time, speed, distance, calories burned, and pulse.
The console is not telemetric, though. Therefore, you cannot sync it with a wireless HR chest strap like Polar or ANT. Instead, it can only track your pulse if you hold on to the HR pulse sensors integrated into the side grips.
Unfortunately, the console does not have Bluetooth or WiFi connectivity. Therefore, it is not compatible with any fitness apps. However, it has 15 built-in programs.
They have their segment layouts on the console. Some have an interval layout; others are great for losing weight, while others focus on helping you keep a constant heart rate. The Program button on the console accesses these programs.
The other three buttons are time, distance, and calorie goal setting. You can select a target value for these workout metrics via the Mode button.
The machine’s console does not have fancy features like a sound system or a workout fan. However, its dashboard features four compartments that can serve as bottle holders or space to store various small accessories. In addition, it also has a short shelf above the magnetic key, serving as a tablet or phone holder.
Assembly and Maintenance
The machine comes pre-assembled and folded. You only need to unfold it, secure the two bars that sustain the console upright, and connect the incline stabilizers and other small covers.
Consequently, it shouldn’t take more than 20-30 minutes. In addition, the manual provides clear assembly instructions, and all the necessary tools come with the machine.
It is advisable to lubricate the belt for maintenance if it becomes too dry. In addition, the belt needs cleaning to prevent any textile fibers or debris from being dragged into the motor or the rollers. Besides, you only have to inspect the machine periodically for loose bolts or parts and retighten or replace them as needed.

I have been looking for a new treadmill for a couple of months now since my old one broke – fair enough, I’ve had it for over 7 years. I really like the idea of this treadmill being folded because my old one was unable to do so, and because of that and my limited living space, I had to put the treadmill outside. Now, with this one, I can see it neatly folded in an appropriate space and used whenever it needs to be used. I also really like the levels it contains; way more than my old one.
Hello Stephanie, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. If I can be of any assistance in your treadmill search, please reach out to me.

This seems like a great way to keep up good exercise habits of running or walking even when the weather outside is not cooperating. I like that it is a folding model, as the house has had to carve out new spaces this year for working from home (no office) and for working out from home (no gyms). This seems like a purchase that will be useful and enjoyed long into the future.
Hello Aly, you’re so right about keeping good exercise habits, especially since spending more time at home this past year. Thanks for sharing with us.

My treadmill is making a lot of noise lately. Seems to be coming from the front. I have lubed the deck, but the noise is still constant. What can I do.
