The L-NOW Pro C580 Indoor Cycling Bike has made owning a commercial quality spin bike for around $550. This L Now belt-driven stationary bike was released in 2018 and soon became a best seller due to its features, design, and affordable price.
For a start, the C580 is a commercial standard, which means the bearings, bottom bracket, belt, and every other part is extremely durable and made to last, unlike cheap home standard bikes. In addition, the C580 has a solid frame and durable three-piece steel cranks that support up to 280 pounds in all spinning positions, including riding out of the saddle.
The combinations of a 40-pound inertia-enhanced flywheel and automotive-grade belt deliver a more natural and enjoyable ride. Thanks to the high-quality belt drivetrain, your spin workout will also be quiet, smooth, and low maintenance. It also has a fitness monitor, which many other trainers do not include.
So, if you’re looking for a top-quality alternative to an authentic spin bike, the L NOW brand name should be on your list. There are at least a few solid exercise bike models under this brand name to fit this profile, and one of them is the L-NOW Pro C580.

C580 Frame Construction
The L-NOW Pro C580 indoor cycling bike features heavy-duty V-frame construction, similar to the Body-Solid Endurance ESB250. It is made of thick, ovalized steel tubing, boasting an overall weight of ~104 lbs (47 kg). As a result, you can ensure that the unit won’t wobble or change position even if you engage in the most demanding spin workouts.
Plus, its base bars have adjustable stabilizers that have rubber pads. These allow you to level the unit on any floor perfectly, and there’s no need to use an additional mat.
The bike isn’t too difficult to move and handle despite its weight. The front base has a set of large transport wheels. So, by using these wheels when relocating the bike, you won’t be controlling more than 40% of its total weight.
The fully assembled bike isn’t huge. Its footprint is 49″L x 20.4″W (124 x 52 cm). However, leaving at least two feet of clearance all around the unit is advisable for safe access and usage. Its highest point is approx 41.3″ (105 cm) above floor level, as given by the handlebar’s top.
The mainframe of this L NOW exercise bike has an abrasion-resistant and corrosion-resistant red paint finish. The seat post, the handlebar post, and the flywheel are chrome-plated, though.
The bike’s construction does integrate several ABS parts, as well. I can count the belt cover, the brake pad cover, and a few other small covers. However, this only fulfills a protective and cosmetic role and reduces the bike’s overall sturdiness.
Seat & handlebars
The L-NOW Pro C580 indoor cycling bike has a thick seat that integrates a generous foam padding layer. It also has a longitudinal groove, promoting healthy blood circulation during seated workouts.
Also, its rear part has suspension springs, which improve shock absorption. However, it delivers more comfort than the average slim spin bike seat.
Nonetheless, the seat connection system to the adjustment slider is standard. However, you can find a compatible replacement for it in any bike store if you want a different model.
The seat is 4-way adjustable (up, down, back, and forth). Its upright bar features several adjustment notches, while its horizontal slider also offers a few inches of front-back adjustment.
Thus, the bike can accommodate users between 5’0″ and 6’4″ (153 – 193 cm) with no problem, delivering a complete leg extension. In addition, the seat assembly is durable enough to support users up to 280 lbs (127 kg).
This L-NOW indoor cycling bike comes with a multi-grip handlebar. It integrates a set of curved aero bars that promote a comfortable race grip. The part that connects the two aero bars can serve as a phone holder or tablet holder, or you can attach a bottle holder to it.
The sidebars integrate hand-grip HR pulse sensors. Therefore, the bike’s fitness monitor can monitor your heart rate by holding on to them.
The whole handlebar assembly has a layer of thick rubber foam material. Therefore, it delivers a comfortable and secure grip. And finally, the handlebar can only be adjusted up and down, offering a few inches of adjustment. It doesn’t have a horizontal slider as the seat.
C580 Drive
The L-NOW Pro C580 indoor cycling bike has a perimeter-weighted flywheel like most spin bikes. This flywheel construction delivers aggressive inertia and helps you quickly reach high RPMs.
The flywheel weighs 40 lbs (18 kg), a mid-range weight for a spin bike flywheel. However, this flywheel offers quite a strong momentum. It also provides the possibility of pedaling in reverse.
The bike has a belt drive system. It uses a poly-V belt, which is highly durable and stretch resistant. As a general idea, a belt drive comes with three main advantages. One, you don’t have to lubricate it. Two, it generates almost no noise. Three, it produces less vibration than a chain, which results in a smoother pedaling motion.
Since it’s an exercise bike for spin workouts, it features a heavy-duty crankshaft. Its crank arms are solid steel and should support any user up to 280 lbs (127 kg) for any spin workouts, including standing-up pedaling routines.
The pedals are also metallic. Unfortunately, they only have toe cages; they have no cleats for spin shoes. However, their threads are standard, and you can always find compatible replacements.
Resistance System
The L-NOW C580 has a friction resistance system. It consists of a long leather pad attached to the frame’s leading bar and the tension knob. When turning the knob clockwise, the brake pad applies friction to the flywheel from the top part, increasing the pedaling tension.
Since the bike isn’t magnetic, the tension knob has no settings. However, you can tighten it to the point you can no longer pedal. It also works as an emergency brake; you can press it down to immediately stop the flywheel if needed.
Fitness monitor
The included fitness monitor is a simple model. It features an LCD that tracks the main workout metrics, including time, distance, speed, calories, and pulse.
Unfortunately, the monitor is not telemetric. Therefore, the monitor cannot read your pulse via an HR chest strap transmitter. However, you can use the EKG sensors mounted on the handlebars to benefit from a pulse reading.
The fitness monitor is straightforward to use. It’s battery-powered, so you don’t need to connect it to a wall socket. Unfortunately, it only has one button, which toggles ON/OFF the unit’s SCAN function. With the SCAN function set ON, the workout data appear in the sequence, each on display for a few seconds.
By pressing the button, you can toggle the SCAN mode OFF and select one of the values you want to show on display. Also, pressing and holding the button for a few seconds will reset all the metrics to zero.
The monitor starts up when you begin pedaling or press the button. It also has a battery save mode, which will enter if it doesn’t detect any bike activity for more than 4 minutes.
C580 Assembly & Maintenance
The core of the bike comes pre-assembled. You only have to add the seat post, the seat, the handlebar post, the handlebar, the base stabilizers, the pedals, and the fitness monitor.
Therefore, it shouldn’t take more than an hour of your time. The manual offers pretty clear assembly instructions and contains some required tools.
Since the bike has a belt drive, its transmission doesn’t require lubrication. However, its brake pad may need a silicone lubricant sometimes, especially if it squeaks when in contact with the flywheel. Besides this, you only have to check the bike for loose joints and parts from time to time to avoid any accidents or further damage.

Wow another great product here in the L-NOW Pro C580. Not only does the L-NOW Pro C580 have a sleek design, but it also comes with some bells and whistles such as an extra comfortable seat, a 40 lbs flywheel, an accommodating handlebar, and fitness console. Also, I like that it has a tablet holder included. This is important to me when it comes to spinning as I want to watch videos to keep my mind distracted. The price is pretty reasonable for such a machine, one that I will again bookmark for when it’s soon time to upgrade the home gym. Thanks for another reliable reference in the L-NOW Pro C580!
Hello Robert, I must say that this article is beneficial and informative. I heard about L-NOW Pro last week, so I decided to do a little research on it. Based on your review, I see this machine is worth getting. It is not so expensive compared to its features, and it will help me a lot with my weight loss goals.
I like this for home use. It is sturdy, and the pluses for me include the soft seat, toe cages, adjustable seat, and handlebars. The most important thing for me would be that it is easy to assemble and suits my apartment. The only thing I would prefer in this piece of equipment is a dark color, navy blue, grey, or black. Thanks for the introduction and review.

Being into fitness, I have used exercise bikes in the past and found them very effective. However, I did not have space and had to sell it.
I now have more room in my current apartment, and I will consider the L-NOW C580. The C580 looks to be a heavy-duty indoor cycling bike that would stand up to hard use. The 40 lb flywheel and the friction resistance system should deliver a smooth high-speed workout.
Cycling is an excellent exercise, particularly great for cardio and toning the leg muscles. One of the things I liked most about having exercise equipment at home was being able to jump onto the bike early in the morning without leaving your home. Thanks.
All the best,
Wince
Hi Wince,
Thanks for taking the time to read the review and leaving a comment. I, too, like exercising first thing in the morning. It gives me more energy throughout the day. I can tell the difference it makes during the days when I don’t exercise first thing.
Enough about me, let me know if I can assist in your search for a new bike.
Warmest regards,
Robert
