The Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym is constructed with commercial 11 gauge steel and features a 210 lb weight stack, 2000 lb tensile strength cables, nylon pulleys, and precision ball bearings in its press arm pivot and bench press pivot points for durability and smooth fluid motion.
The features of the Inspire Fitness M3 Multi-Gym include a commercial-quality abdominal crunch station built into the head pad, iso-lateral press and lat stations, press arms, strap handles with revolving grips, a seated leg extension/curl station, ankle strap, and bench.
The Inspire Fitness M3’s bench features orthopedic seat pads and a patented dual back pad with tilt adjustability. The seat pads and the mesh weight stack shrouds are available in a choice of colors: black, burgundy, blue or tan.
The Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym is a pretty good high-end home gym option to consider. It is more than enough for beginner and intermediate lifters, it has quite a bit of weight stack resistance, lots of exercise choices, and is built durable too. This is a reasonably expensive choice to go with, but in our opinion, the price is well worth the investment.

The Inspire M3 Multi-Gym is commercial 11 gauge steel, nylon pulleys, 2000lb tensile strength cables, and precision ball bearings in its press arm pivot. It also comes standard with a 210lb weight stack for even the most serious lifters. The M3 is the home gym that the critics call “The Bomb.” The M3 has it all and will help you obtain a body you never thought possible.
The Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym allows for quite a wide variety of exercises on it. Between high pulley station, the multi-function press arms, the low pulley with a seated rowing bar, the ab crunch function, the multi-function leg developer, and the optional leg press and abdominal bar, you get one heck of a workout.
The Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym also comes with an aluminum revolving easy curl bar, strap handles, and ankle straps too. On a side note, the Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym does have a 210-pound weight stack, which is ideal for beginners and intermediate lifters.
Another thing that I like about the Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym is that it comes with an orthopedic grade seat and backrest. Both of these items are specifically designed to be ergonomically friendly and to reinforce the proper form.
The Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym is built tough and built to last for a very long time. The steel frame is exceptionally durable, plus it is powder coated as well. Also, the cables are aircraft-grade and have a tensile strength of 2,000 pounds. The Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym also has a very high weight limit.
M3 Main Pressing Arm
In recent years home gyms have gone through some significant changes in terms of their design and exercises they offer. The great thing is that as long as you have space at home to get one set up, you can find a machine to suit almost any budget. As with any piece of fitness equipment, though, you do get what you pay for in terms of quality.
This is why Inspire Fitness has gone to great lengths to make sure their M3 Home Gym provides everything you need for a full-body workout. The first design feature we wanted to take a look at was the main pressing arm. With many home gym systems, this usually follows a fixed plane of motion and offers relatively limited muscle activation.
What’s different about the Inspire Fitness M3 is that the angle of the arm can be adjusted, allowing you to work your back and shoulders, as well as your chest.
To ensure you’re always in a comfortable position to perform the exercise, the back support and seat are fully adjustable. Slide the back support along the rail to be closer to the weight stack if you want to perform a few sets of chest presses, or slide it closer towards the leg developer if you’re going to perform seated rows or lat pulldowns.
There’s even a set of padded foam rollers to hold your lower body firmly in position during the exercise, helping you get the most out of every rep and set.
4 Point cable pulley system
With most home gym setups, it’s not unusual to find you only have the option of one or two cable pulleys. For a few hundred dollars, you can usually find a machine that offers a high cable and leg developer but very little more. You’ll be pleased to know this isn’t the case with the Inspire Fitness M3.
The low cable pulley attached to the leg developer is for that purpose, with a completely separate low pulley available for curls, rows, lateral raises, and more.
You might have also noticed that there’s a cable pulley positioned directly behind the padding where your headrests, between the small set of handles. This is ideal for seated ab crunches and overhead extensions, as you can train your core with heavier weights to stay within your target rep range.
While some home gym machines do offer dual weight plate stacks, the Inspire Fitness M3 manages to create resistance for all 4 of the cable pulley positions using just one 210 lb stack.
This not only saves in setup time but also makes it much lighter and more compact. The entire weight plate stack has also been shrouded with a protective cover to improve safety and prevent injury.
M3 High cable pulley design
With the back being such a large and complex muscle group, the chances are that if you are using dumbbells alone, you don’t see the gains in size and strength that you should be.
Of course, the low cable pulley is for standing cable rows, upright rows, and shrugs. However, the high cable pulley is the feature that will provide the most options in terms of varying your workout plan.
Whether you choose an overhand grip with your hands at either end of the bar to focus on your lats, or underhand grip to focus on the overall thickness and muscular development, the lat pulldown bar is an excellent addition to any back workout.
There’s also the option to remove the lat pulldown bar altogether if you wanted to so that you can replace the attachment with a smaller straight bar, tricep rope, or single handle.
Leg and lower body workouts
One of the great difficulties in choosing a home gym is finding a design that provides a leg developer with a full range motion. Most machines stop when your legs are at around a 90-degree angle. The M3 gives the option to create a broader range of motion for a more significant stretch and contraction in your quads.
With a similar design to the padded rollers attached to the back support, this ensures that there’s no pressure on your legs that could reduce the number of reps you can perform in each set.

M3 Exercise Options
The reason home gyms have become so popular in recent years is due to their designs becoming so much more advanced in terms of exercise options.
Where you would once only find a lat pulldown and chest press handles with a fixed range of motion, the M3 now offers variable planes of movement with its main pressing arm to provide multiple exercises from one design feature.
There’s also the benefit of having so many cable positions. Their nature of following your natural range of motion as your curl, press, and pull the various attachments let you work for every muscle group from a variety of angles, ensuring complete muscular development.
Listed below is just a sample of the exercises you can perform with the M3:
- Seated ab crunches
- Upright rows
- Chest press
- Shoulder press
- Bicep curls
- Leg extensions
- Side lateral raises
- Lat pulldowns
- Tricep pushdowns
- Hammer curls (rope attachment)
Available separately: Leg Press, Abdominal Bar
Assembly & Maintenance
Like most other home gym systems, the Inspire M3 comes packed in several boxes. Therefore, unboxing and assembling the unit will take at least 2-3 hours.
The assembly process isn’t complicated, though, as the manual provides clear assembly instructions and schematics. Tools for assembly are not (included), and you will need your own set of fixed or adjustable wrenches, Allen wrenches, a Phillips screwdriver, and a rubber mallet.
For maintenance, the pulleys may require lubrication after a while. Applying some lubricant to each pulley, during the assembly, may eliminate the need for extra lube. Other than that, it is recommended to check for loose bolts and parts periodically.

Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym Summary
The Inspire Fitness M3 is a light-commercial grade, heavy-duty weight stack gym machine. It integrates four main workout stations, each one of them being multi-functional. The main press of the unit features arms that can be used independently, which is quite a plus for a gym machine.
It offers plenty of adjustability for the front press, leg developer, seat, and backrest. It has a 210 lbs weight stack composed of 21 durable cast iron weight plates.
Additionally, it offers the possibility to perform more than 40 exercises. It’s not exactly an affordable gym machine, but considering its sturdiness, versatility, and overall quality, I can safely say that it offers excellent value for the price.
The only extra feature I would like to see is a broader choice of exercises for the lower body. The low cable and leg developer offers some great options. However, a leg press would help develop better overall size and strength. As I mentioned earlier, this is available as an additional attachment if it’s something you would need.
