The SNODE Pole Star Indoor Cycling Bike features an upgraded steel frame and bottom support bar to give this indoor cycling bike a rock-solid build. It supports a maximum user weight capacity of up to 280 pounds. With the help of transport wheels, you can relocate it quickly without heavy lifting or muscle strain.
The SNODE Pole Star comes equipped with magnetic resistance and a belt drive system to create unbelievably smooth and quiet riding without worrying about noise caused by friction. The tension knob allows you to adjust the different levels of workout challenge as per your requirement. In addition, you can push the knob down to make an emergency stop to ensure safety.
The SNODE Pole Star indoor cycling bike features an LCD fitness console that tracks your time, speed, distance, calories burned, and pulse. Measuring your pulse rate is an essential tool for exercising correctly and efficiently. The more steady and prolonged the elevated heart rate is during the workout, the more fat gets burned.

Pole Star Frame construction
The SNODE Pole Star indoor cycling bike features a steel frame combining oval and rectangular tubing in its construction. As a result, its median base bar has a more substantial curvature than other similar exercise bikes.
All the steel parts in its construction come coated with a corrosion-resistant paint finish. The color used for the mainframe is white, while the color used for the seat post and handlebar post is gray. The flywheel is chrome-plated with ABS side panel covers.
Compared to other indoor cycling bikes, the SNODE Pole Star is smaller. It is only 39″ (99 cm) long and 18″ (46 cm) wide, while its maximum height reaches approximately 45″ (114 cm) when the handlebar extends fully. However, it is still advisable to allow about two feet of clearance to ease access and correct usage.
The fully assembled bike is also relatively light compared to other spin bikes. It only weighs 77 lbs (35 kg). However, this is still about twice the average road bike’s weight, providing plenty of stability. Plus, both its base stabilizing bars feature adjustable levelers, while the front base bar comes equipped with a set of transport wheels.
One last aspect to note is the small rectangular bar above the crank that unites the seat post to the mainframe post. It can be used as a step-up element if needed and support for stretching or for specific spin workouts that require you to mount and dismount repeatedly. Not all spin bikes have this feature, so it is a plus.
Seat and handlebars
The SNODE Pole Star indoor cycling bike includes a pretty standard saddle. It is approximately 10.6″ (27 cm) long and 7.4″ (18.7 cm) wide. Its base shell is heavy-duty nylon material covered with a thick layer of foam and with another layer of vinyl material on the outside. It also comes contoured for improved airflow.
The bike’s seat assembly is four-way adjustable (up, down, front, back). In addition, the upright post has more than ten adjustment holes, while the horizontal slider adds a few inches of front-to-back adjustment. Thus, the bike should accommodate users with an inseam between 29″ and 39″ (73 – 99 cm).
Therefore, the bike comfortably accommodates users between 5’2″ and 6’4″ (157 – 193 cm). It also has a maximum user weight capacity of up to 280 lbs (127 kg).
The seat has a collar-type attachment system. Thus, you can also slightly adjust its angle. It also means that it is easily replaceable, if necessary, and compatible options are widely available.
The bike has a multi-grip handlebar. It offers the possibility to adopt a climbing grip, a standard grip, and a racing grip. It also has a small loop bar in the middle, which allows a close grip. The device holder attaches to this particular bar. This accessory is a durable thermoplastic material and can support most tablets and hydration bottles.
The handlebar only offers two-way adjustability (up, down), unlike the seat. Its adjustment span is 5″ (12.7 cm), between 40″ and 45″ (101 – 114 cm) above floor level. Its side grips feature high-density foam sleeves for extra comfort. They also integrate metallic pulse sensors.
Pole Star Drive and resistance
The SNODE Pole Star indoor cycling bike comes equipped with a perimeter-weighted flywheel. This design improves inertia and renders the pedaling motion more consistent. Its exact weight is not specified; however, considering that the whole bike’s weight does not exceed 80 lbs, the flywheel is approximately 20 – 35 lbs (9 – 15.8 kg).
The flywheel is bi-directional, which means you can pedal in reverse. However, you cannot coast on the bike. When pedaling in reverse, you will get the same resistance as when pedaling forward. Also, the pedals continue to spin for as long as the flywheel is spinning.
The bike comes equipped with a magnetic resistance system. However, its adjustment is manual, so the bike does not require an external power source and cannot automatically adjust the resistance. Also, the fitness console does not have pre-set workout programs.
The bike’s resistance system consists of a magnetic brake pad above the flywheel, connected to the bike’s frame, and the tension knob on top of the frame’s top tube. By turning this knob clockwise, the magnets move closer to the flywheel, which increases the strength of the magnetic field, leading to more incredible pedaling difficulty.
The front of the brake assembly also has a small rubber pad. Thus, you can press the knob down, and the rubber pad comes in contact with the brake to stop the flywheel from spinning.
Unlike other exercise bikes with a magnetic resistance system, this SNODE bike does not have pre-determined tension levels. Instead, you turn the knob until you get the desired pedaling difficulty. As a general idea, when turned clockwise, it provides a reasonably decent pedaling test simulating a steep climb.
The bike’s drivetrain uses a poly-v belt covered by a durable thermoplastic guard. Needless to say, since it’s a belt, not a chain, you don’t have to lubricate it. Plus, it delivers a smooth pedaling motion as it generates less vibration than a chain.
Last but not least, the bike comes with a 3-piece crankset featuring crank arms similar to road bikes. The pedals are metallic with adjustable toe cages. Unfortunately, they do not integrate SPD clips for spin shoes, but their threads are standard (9/16″), so compatible replacements are widely available.
Fitness Monitor
The SNODE Pole Star indoor cycling bike comes equipped with a reasonably standard fitness monitor. It features an LCD that tracks time, distance, speed, calories burned, and pulse. However, it does not have pre-set programs. Furthermore, it does not have online connectivity or target settings.
Also, the pulse reading function only works if you hold on to the integrated pulse sensors. The unit cannot read your pulse from a wireless HR chest strap.
The fitness monitor is easy to use. It only has one button that covers all its functions. You can scroll through the workout metrics and select what you want to view by pressing it repeatedly. This way, you can also set the Scan Mode, which rotates all the metrics showing each one for a few seconds.
The button also has a reset function. If you press it and hold it for a few seconds, you can clear all the monitor values to zero.
The monitor is battery-powered. It starts up when you begin pedaling. It also automatically turns off if it does not detect any bike activity for a few minutes.
Pole Star Assembly and Maintenance
The main body of the bike comes pre-assembled. The flywheel, the drivetrain, the crankset, and the brake are already attached to it. You only need to add the two base stabilizing bars, the seat post, the saddle, the handlebar post, the handlebar, the pedals, the fitness monitor, and the device holder.
Therefore, it shouldn’t take more than 30-40 minutes of your time. The task is straightforward, the manual provides pretty decent assembly instructions, and all the necessary tools come with the bike.
The bike has a belt drive system, so its drivetrain does not require lubrication. In addition, the brake is magnetic, so the brake pad doesn’t wear out. Thus, in terms of maintenance, you only have to keep the bike clean, periodically check if all the moving parts function correctly, check for loose nuts and bolts, and retighten if necessary.

Please note: Before starting any exercise program, you should consult your physician to determine if you have any medical or physical conditions that could put your health and safety at risk or prevent you from using the equipment properly. In addition, your physician’s advice is essential if you are taking medication that affects your heart rate, blood pressure, or cholesterol level.
I actually have a similar bike at home. Can I ask you, how much time a day one should exercise a day? Are two hours a lot?
I read in your article that this bike has been build with magnetic resistance. What exactly is this, and what can it do for the users? I also like the fact that this bike tracks many parameters while you’re exercising. These kinds of bikes are beneficial for toning leg muscles. I am looking to buy a better one than the one I have in the future.
I am assuming that you exercise to stay in shape and to have a nice figure. You should do just fine exercising for 1 hour a day. I personally exercise one hour every other day. On the days that I don’t exercise, I stay active playing sports, riding a bike outdoors, and walking.
Magnetic resistance is the type of brake pad placed above the flywheel. This brake pad has magnets. Hence, the name “magnetic resistance.” The brake pad connects to a tension knob on the bike’s frame.
By turning this knob clockwise, the magnets move closer to the flywheel, which increases the strength of the magnetic field, leading to more incredible pedaling difficulty.
The benefit of magnetic resistance is that the magnets never touch the flywheel, so it operates very quietly. Another advantage is there is no maintenance, and the brake pad will not ever need replacing.
