This stationary bike is perfect for home! The triangular steel tubing frame is exceptionally durable and sturdy while cycling. In addition, this bike has a maximum user weight capacity of 330 lbs (150 kg).

The magnetic resistance system with six magnets provides a smooth, responsive ride. Control the intensity by turning the convenient tension knob to increase or decrease the resistance and press the resistance knob to stop the flywheel from spinning immediately. The magnetic resistance system coupled with a 35 lb (15.8 kg) heavy flywheel provides a smooth and virtually silent ride.

The ADVENOR Magnetic Indoor Cycling Bike has a fitness monitor that displays your time, speed, RPM, distance, calories burned, and odometer. These readings are a hugely beneficial way to keep track of your progress. A flat bracket also comes included, so you can place your tablet or smartphone on it to watch videos or listen to music while exercising.

The ADVENOR exercise bike has an enlarged, ultra-padded 4-way adjustable seat and a 2-way non-slip handlebar to provide you with the most comfortable riding experience. Aluminum alloy caged pedals are safe and comfortable. The sawtooth design and cage with adjustable straps prevent your feet from slipping for a customized fit.

Frame Construction

ADVENOR Magnetic Indoor Cycling Bike

The ADVENOR indoor cycle features a triangular steel tubing frame for improved sturdiness and aesthetics. In addition, all the steel bars in its construction come coated with a rust-resistant and chip-resistant paint finish, except the seat and handlebar tubes with a chrome plating finish.

Also, the bike integrates several parts of durable thermoplastic material. The most notable ones are the brake’s cover and the drivetrain’s cover.

The bike is not too bulky. With all the parts assembled, it is approx. 40″ (102 cm) long and 21″ (53 cm) wide, while its highest point is 44″ (112 cm) above floor level, with the handlebar fully extended. Therefore, it is advisable to assign a usage area for the bike of at least 70″L x 60″W (180 x 152 cm) for safe usage and easy access.

Although it comes equipped with a 35-lb (15.8 kg) flywheel, this indoor cycling bike is lighter than most models. However, it still weighs approx. 74 lbs (33.5 kg), so two people should carry and assemble the bike.

Once completed, it is easier to move because its front stabilizer comes equipped with transport wheels. Also, both its stabilizers have adjustable levelers.

The bike’s frame also features a step-up bar element, the short horizontal bar that connects the main tube of the frame with the seat tube. It is for easier mounting and dismounts, support stretches, and other exercises during a spin workout. Not all spin bikes have this feature, so it is a plus.

Seat and handlebars

First, it’s not a slim saddle like the race models; it is considerably larger, approx. 10.6″ (~27 cm) long and 7.9″ (~20 cm) wide, so it provides more contact surface and comfort. In addition, it integrates a thick layer of foam cushioning and has a large groove in the middle for improved breathability. Also, its top is made of durable faux leather, easy to maintain.

The seat is four-way adjustable (front, back, up, down). In addition, its vertical post offers an adjustment span of approximately 8″ (20 cm), from 32″ (81 cm) to 40″ (102 cm) above the floor. Plus, its horizontal slider adds several inches of front-to-back adjustment.

Therefore, the bike comfortably accommodates users between 5’1″ and 6’5″ (155 – 196 cm). It also has a maximum user weight capacity of 330 lbs (150 kg) which is not bad for a home-use exercise bike.

The ADVENOR magnetic indoor cycling trainer comes equipped with a multi-grip handlebar. It offers the possibility to adopt a climbing grip, a racing grip, and a standard grip.

Also, its center area allows a close parallel and aero grip. Not all spin bikes have this feature, so it’s quite a plus.

Unfortunately, the handlebar does not integrate HR pulse sensors, and the included fitness monitor does not have a pulse reading function.

Unlike the seat, the bike’s handlebar is only two-way adjustable (up, down). It offers an adjustment span of approximately 6″ (15 cm), between 38″ (96.5 cm) and 44″ (112 cm) above floor level.

It’s also important to note that the handlebar post has a small rectangular plate, and the handlebar attaches to it via four screws, not two or only one, like some other indoor cycling bikes. This four-point connection provides superior sturdiness, preventing it from wobbling as you exercise.

Drive system

As I’ve mentioned, the ADVENOR magnetic indoor cycling bike has a 35 lbs (15.8 kg) flywheel featuring a perimeter-weighted structure. This type of flywheel construction is ideal for spinning as it provides extra inertia and a consistent pedaling motion.

ADVENOR Magnetic Indoor Cycling Bike

The flywheel is bi-directional. Thus, you can pedal in reverse on this bike. However, just like most other spin bikes, coasting is not possible. Therefore, when pedaling in reverse, you will get the same resistance as when pedaling forward.

The bike’s drivetrain uses a poly-v belt concealed by a large ABS guard. This type of drive system offers several advantages. First, it delivers smoother traction because it generates less vibration than a chain. And, second of all, you don’t have to worry about monthly lubrication.

The bike has a standard, 3-piece crankset featuring long, steel-made arms and a black paint finish. The exact Q-Factor (spacing between the pedals) is not specified, but it is pretty narrow. Thus, your feet won’t be too far apart when on the pedal, preventing lateral stress on the knees and ankles.

The bike includes aluminum alloy durable pedals. Unfortunately, they do not have SPD elements for spin shoes but do have adjustable cages if you need to secure your feet on them. Their threads are also standard (9/16), so compatible replacements are available in most bike shops.

Resistance system

The ADVENOR indoor cycling bike has a manual magnetic resistance system, so you don’t need an adapter or power cord. However, it also means that the pedaling motion is frictionless, very smooth, and quiet. Unfortunately, the bike cannot adjust the resistance automatically.

The bike’s resistance system consists of a magnetic brake with several magnets attached to the frame’s front section right above the flywheel. This brake connects to the tension knob on top of the bike’s frame. Therefore, when you turn the knob, the magnets move closer or farther from the flywheel, increasing or decreasing the resistance.

The bike’s brake is stepless. Therefore, there are no clicks or pre-determined tension levels. Instead, turn the knob until the magnetic drag delivers the desired resistance. As a general idea, the bike provides a consistent resistance simulating a steep climb on the highest tension level.

ADVENOR Magnetic Indoor Cycling Bike

The brake also has an emergency stop function. You can press it down to stop the flywheel from spinning, which continues to turn for as long as it is spinning. So, especially if you’ve been pedaling at high speed, the push-to-stop function prevents potential injuries.

Fitness monitor

The ADVENOR magnetic indoor cycling bike comes equipped with a fitness monitor with an LCD divided into two sub-sections, showing up to two workout metrics at once.

It tracks time, distance, total distance (odometer), speed, RPM, and calories burned. However, it does not have a pulse reading function. Therefore, if you need to track your pulse during workouts, use a separate device.

The fitness monitor is straightforward to use. It has only one button. By pressing the button repeatedly, you can scroll through the metrics and select the ones you want to view. You can also press and hold the button to reset all the values.

Of course, since it’s a simple monitor, it does not have pre-set workout programs or goal functions. Unfortunately, it also does not connect to any fitness apps.

The monitor is battery-powered. It starts up when you begin pedaling or when you press its button. It also automatically turns off if it does not detect any activity on the bike for several minutes.

Please note that the tablet shown in the image sells separately.

Assembly and Maintenance

The bike’s main body comes pre-assembled. The flywheel, the crankset, the belt, and the magnetic brake are already attached. However, several parts do require user assembly. For example, you will have to connect the two base stabilizers, the seat, the handlebars, the pedals, the fitness monitor, and the bottle holder.

Therefore, it shouldn’t take more than 30-40 minutes of your time. All the necessary tools come with the bike, and the manual provides clear step-by-step assembly instructions.

Since the bike’s drivetrain uses a belt, not a chain, it doesn’t require periodic lubrication. Therefore, you only have to inspect the bike periodically to ensure that all the bolts hold tight and all the moving parts still function accordingly. It would also help if you wiped off the sweat after each use.

  1. Even though I like to stay fit I am one of those who don’t like going to the gym. I do prefer to do my own exercise in the privacy of my own home. It looks like the Advenor Magnetic bike is exactly what I have been looking for. I like the fact that the bike is quiet and compact. The fitness console will come in handy as I would like to track my progress. I honestly think this is the right product for me.

    Thanks for the great review

  2. I’m also one of those people who doesn’t like going to the gym, and I have some exercise equipment at home. Unfortunately, my indoor cycling bike is already quite worn out, we have covered a considerable mileage, so it will slowly be time to consider buying a new one. In this review of the ADVENOR Magnetic Indoor Cycling Bike, you impressed me with this model. I like almost everything; the only real pity is that it doesn’t have a pulse reading function and an LCD backlight.
Otherwise, I like that it’s easy to assemble; with my current one, it took me a while to study everything, and that, according to the description, it’s comfortable for the whole body. It will be on my shortlist when I decide to buy.
    Friendly greeting,

    • Hi Nina,

Thank you for sharing with us. I agree that not having a pulse sensor is a drawback, but the ADVENOR magnetic indoor bike has a lot going for it and at an extremely affordable price. If you decide that you absolutely must have heart tracking, quality HR trackers sell for around $100 or less. When it’s time to purchase a new bike, I’d be happy to help.

      Warmest regards,

      Robert

  3. I’m a keen cyclist recovering from hip surgery, so cycling is integral to my rehabilitation.

But I don’t want to risk the consequences of a fall on wet, slippery roads, so I’ve been thinking for a while that I should get an excellent indoor stationary bike.

So I was keenly interested in your review of the ADVENOR Magnetic Indoor Cycling Bike.

It looks like a durable and sturdy piece of equipment with a user weight rating of twice my weight, which is very reassuring. From others’ experience, I know that using magnets to increase the resistance is superior to other methods.

Everything about this bike sounds good, including the smooth and almost silent ride and the poly-v-belt drive, which is much better than a chain.

I was pleasantly surprised by the price. Not cheap, but good value and some excellent ratings by actual users.

Thank you for bringing this great piece of equipment to my attention.

  4. Thank you for another alternative to gyms. Cycling bikes are very good at helping to exercise the muscles, especially those around the hip region. Worth noting is that it is an excellent way to shed fat. I love your emphasis on the Advenor bike being a good instrument for cardio training and an unexpensive machine.
