SB700 Frame
As you can see, this exercise bike has quite an elegant and professional design, reminding us of the framework of a mountain bike. It’s not a very clunky piece of equipment and can easily fit in smaller rooms. Therefore, it’s the right choice if you’re short on space.
Although it’s specified to accommodate users only up to 300 lbs (136 kg), the bike is reliable and stable enough to support users up to 300 pounds (136 kg). However, if you are more substantial than 300 lbs, the crank may not support a standing-up workout.
Resistance
The chrome-plated flywheel of this bike is pretty heavy as well, weighing 48 lbs (21 kg), supplying a smooth and steady workout with enough resistance for any user. The drive mechanism is belt-powered, featuring a durable kevlar belt, resulting in a quiet ride.
The braking system is adjustable, featuring long-lasting kevlar pads. There are no levels (or clicks) specified on the tension knob. However, you can adjust the resistance while pedaling until you reach the desired resistance.

Standard pedals with toe straps are (included) in this stationary bike model. Unfortunately, they don’t have clipped pedals for spin shoes, but since they have a conventional design, they can be (replaced) with clip pedals.
SB700 Seat and handlebars
The handlebar and seat are both adjustable, horizontally and vertically. Therefore, this bike can offer multiple exercises, from nearly upright and up to steeply leaning forward.
The seat is slim and somewhat stiff, similar to the typical mountain bike seats. The bike can accommodate users between 4’8″ (142 cm) and 6’6″ (198 cm).
The handlebar is generously padded with rubber foam to absorb moisture and provide a good grip. It has a design that allows up to three different grips but does not have middle aero bars for elbow support. On the other hand, the handlebar of the Sole SB700 comes with a double bottle holder and also has a progress tracking computer.
The integrated progress tracking console provides RPM, distance, speed, calories burned, and time spent working out. Unfortunately, it’s pretty basic and does not include any preset programs.
However, it is compatible with a wireless chest strap to ensure the user remains in their heart rate training zone. This device requires two AA-type batteries. It’s also battery-saving, as it auto shuts down when the bike is not in use.
Console
Progress tracking computer is also straightforward to use. To “wake it up,” all you need is to hold down one of the keys. Press the left key to select between SPEED, TIME, DISTANCE, or CLOCK; stats are displayed at the bottom of the screen. RPM and Calories burned are posted at all times.
To activate the heart rate, you have to press the right button. However, this requires a chest strap, which you must purchase separately. The heart rate indicator also has an alarm to notify you when you have reached the selected limit.
SB700 Assembly and Maintenance
The bike comes pre-assembled, with a flywheel, transmission belt, crank, and crank protection attached to the frame. The assembly task includes the installation of the bases, seat, handlebar, pedals, and console. I have had a good experience with Sole spin bikes. They are durable, light in weight, and easily manageable.
But one thing I would like to highlight about this bike is explicitly its frame. It’s very sturdy and looks promising. I think my car would get old first before this bike.
