SF-T7705 Frame Construction

The Sunny SF-T7705 Auto Incline Treadmill features a steel frame combining ovalized and rectangular bars in its construction. It’s a light-capacity machine; its deck is only rated for maximum users weighing up to 220 lbs (100 kg).

All the steel parts in the treadmill’s frame come with a rust-resistant paint finish, gray. Also, the unit integrates several ABS parts. For example, the side rail covers, the motor cover, the console dashboard, and several other small covers are made of durable ABS materials.

The Sunny SF-T7705 is not a large treadmill. However, it still takes approx—64″L x 27″W (162.5 x 68.5 cm) of floor space. Plus, allowing at least three feet of clearance at the rear of the deck and at least two feet of space on each side is advisable for safe usage.

The machine has a foldable design. Its deck can fold and lock in an upright position. With the deck folded up, its length is reduced to 34.5″ (87.6 cm) while its height gains a few inches. The folding mechanism involves an air-pressure cylinder slowly lowering the deck to prevent damage.

The unit also has excellent portability. The front metallic base of the frame comes equipped with two small wheels, which ease its relocation when folded. The two rear feet of the treadmill also have wheels, but they only serve as extra stabilizers.

Deck

The deck of the Sunny SF-T7705 integrates multiple cushioning elements. It has six internal cushions (3 on each side) and four silicone pads (2 on each side) visible outside, reducing vibration. Therefore, walking or running on this treadmill is considerably more forgiving on your joints than walking or running on concrete or asphalt.

Last but not least, this Sunny Health & Fitness treadmill offers a walking platform of 49″L x 15.5″W (124.4 x 39.3 cm). Therefore, it can comfortably accommodate users up to 6’0″ (183 cm). However, taller users may need a more extended walking platform, especially for running.

SF-T7705 Incline and step-up height

The Sunny SF-T7705 comes equipped with an automatic incline system. This means you can adjust the incline during your workout from the console. Also, if one of the workout programs is in use, the machine will auto-adjust the deck’s incline.

The incline system consists of a motor separate from the drive motor and a slight lift placed at the front of the deck. The lift slowly elevates the front of the deck when you adjust the incline or when the console automatically adjusts the incline.

The treadmill makes 15 levels of incline available, from 0% to 15%. The incline increments are in increments of 1%. In addition, the console offers controls for gradual incline adjustment and quick selection controls for the 3%, 6%, and 12% incline levels.

The step-up deck height is approx—6″ (15 cm) when the incline is 0%. Conversely, by adjusting the incline up to the 15th level, the front of the deck will gain a few extra inches in height. Therefore, using this treadmill in a room with a ceiling at least 15″ (38 cm) higher than the tallest user’s height is advisable.

Drive motor

The Sunny SF-T7705 Auto Incline Treadmill is an electric treadmill. Thus, it requires an external power source. It integrates a 2.20 HP motor which is not the most powerful but should withstand walking and jogging workouts with no problem. It also features a small flywheel for improved stability and reduced vibration.

This Sunny treadmill offers a speed range between 0.5 and 9.0 MPH. Although the starting speed of the running belt is 0.5 MPH, the speed adjusts in increments of 0.1 MPH. This type of micro-adjustment is quite a plus as it allows you to change your pace easily without losing balance.

Like the incline, if you choose to exercise by using one of the onboard programs, the machine will auto-adjust the speed of the running belt. Thus, some of the programs will auto-adjust both the deck’s incline and the belt’s speed. Also, along with the gradual speed controls, the console provides quick speed control buttons for the 2 MPH, 4 MPH, and 6 MPH.

Last but not least, its power consumption is also minimal since it’s a simple motor. Therefore, even if you use it daily, it shouldn’t add more than a few dollars to the electricity bill. Also, the motor itself doesn’t generate a lot of noise when in use, but depending on how fast you go, your cadence may create more or less noise.

SF-T7705 Console

The Sunny SF-T7705 treadmill comes equipped with a mid-range console. It features an LCD with an LED backlight for improved readability. The display divides into multiple fields to show as many workout metrics as possible. For example, the display shows time, distance, steps, calories burned, heart rate, speed, and incline.

The speed and distance display in miles and MPH, while the center area of the LCD shows the distance as a 0.25 mile (400 m) track, counting each lap that you have completed.

For pulse, you must hold on to the sensors integrated into the machine’s side grips for the console to read your pulse. The console is not telemetric and cannot read your pulse through a wireless armband or chest strap.

The console offers nine workout programs. All of them are interval-based; all of them adjust speed and incline. Plus, the console is Bluetooth-capable. Therefore, you can sync it with your smartphone via the Sunny Health & Fitness app to track your progress online, review your workout history and even adjust the speed and incline from your phone.

A Body Mass Index function is also available. This allows you to input personal data such as gender, age, height, and weight to calculate your Body Mass Index. The Body Mass Index tests the relationship between your size and weight.

Amenities

Among other notable features provided by the machine’s console, I count the sound system, the tablet holder, and the accessory holders. The sound system consists of two speakers integrated at the top of the console. It is compatible with most MP3 players, smartphones, or tablets.

Therefore, you can connect your device to the console via the provided AUX cable to play your music through the treadmill’s console. However, it is essential to note that the Bluetooth function does not apply to the unit’s sound system.

The tablet holder consists of a small shelf placed under the console display. And finally, the console dashboard has two large bottle or accessory holders on each side.

SF-T7705 Assembly and Maintenance

The treadmill comes pre-assembled. You only have to unbox, unfold, lock the two front bars in an upright position via several screws, and add the two joint covers. It’s a relatively simple task and shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes. Plus, the manual provides all the necessary instructions, and all the tools you will need come with the machine.

For maintenance, the belt and deck require periodic lubrication. Furthermore, it would be best to clean the belt to prevent debris from being caught in the rollers or the motor. Other than this, it is advisable to periodically check the unit for loose bolts or parts and retighten them as needed.
